I started dressmaking with my grandmother when I was young, making clothes for my dolls. Making clothes for myself was the next step, receiving a sewing machine for my 21st birthday present. 25 years later my beloved Pfaff 1471 was struggling and it was time to take advantage of technology having moved on. Including the purchase of an embroidery unit.
I thought I would just embroider pretty flowers and the like, but I discovered I could do something much more powerful: embroider numbers and letters, which transform a useful article into a durable message.
And that gives endless opportunity.
